Did you know?

Strokestown is a one of Ireland’s few planned towns – built to service the great estate.

The design of the town is evident in its wide main street – once the widest in the world – and the orderly arrangement of its buildings.

Ireland’s other planned towns include Derry-Londonderry, New Ross, Bandon, Portlaoise, and Belfast.
