Woodland Café and Shop

Relax with a coffee, enjoy a tasty meal with family or friends, and pick up mementoes of your memorable day at the Woodland Café and shop.

After a stroll through Strokestown Park’s woodland gardens, or time spent absorbing stories of the past in Strokestown Park House and the National Famine Museum, why not relax and unwind in Strokestown Park’s newly refurbished café?

The Woodland Café

Our bright modern new Woodland Café is great place to relax and treat yourself to coffee, snacks and delicious meals created using the best sustainably produced local ingredients.

This family-friendly space is the perfect spot to refuel after exploring Strokestown Park’s grounds, and it’s also ideal for larger groups. We ask group organisers to pre-book tea and coffee, lunch, and other options for their Strokestown Park visit so that we can accommodate your group comfortably.

Accessibility

Our Woodland Café, shop, visitor centre and museum are all wheelchair accessible, and we are happy to answer any enquiries you may have about accessibility.

Shop

In the shop at the Strokestown Park Visitor Centre, we sell a selection of specialised books which explore the history of the house and its collections, as well as the historical context of the Great Irish Famine.

Replica documents from Strokestown Park’s Famine Archive

Replicas of some of Strokestown Park’s most important historical documents – including a copy of the Clonahee Petition – can be purchased in the shop. They give you a way to remember the story of the Great Irish Famine and share the remarkable insights to be gained from your visit to the National Famine Museum.

Crafts & Gifts

We are also proud to stock Irish-made jewellery and local crafts, so you can choose a souvenir of your visit to Strokestown Park from beautifully made things that reflect traditional skills, or find that special gift for someone with a passion for the past.

Buy online

As well as having the option to buy tickets online, you may also buy a National Famine Way Passport pack, which will equip you with instructions as well as tips and vouchers linked to the National Famine Way trail, which extends from Roscommon to Dublin.

[other items can go in here too, as I’ve added in Woocommerce – it would just need connecting to a Stripe or Paypal account]
